Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to everyone who uses the Tipper app, website and hardware provided by Tipper App Pty Ltd (ABN 56 674 073 502). It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Use Tipper for genuine tips

Use Tipper only to receive genuine tips for your own performances. Don’t present tips as charitable donations, use Tipper to sell goods or services, or use a Square account you aren’t authorised to use.

Your responsibility

You’re responsible for how Tipper is used under your account, including by anyone you allow to use it. If you hold an account for a performer under 18, you’re responsible for their use of Tipper.

Prohibited activity

Don’t use Tipper to:

• break any law or regulation, including busking, consumer and tax laws;

• take payments by deception, or for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;

• display or distribute material that is obscene, defamatory, threatening or harassing, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;

• collect other people’s personal information without their consent;

• send spam;

• try to access accounts, systems or data you’re not authorised to use; or

• introduce malicious code, or interfere with or disrupt Tipper, Square or anyone else’s use of them.

Tipper property

Don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or misuse the Tipper app, website or brand, or try to get around any security or usage limits.

If this policy is breached

If you breach this policy, we may suspend or close your account, as set out in our Terms. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you first. Where required by law, we may report activity to the relevant authorities.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice of material changes, consistent with our Terms.
